Educational institutions

A large proportion of our clients are universities, colleges, state schools and language schools.

We offer a variety of services to these institutions, but perhaps the most popular is our concurrent users licence.

With this model, the school or college is able to provide access to our courses to a specific number of students (25 or 50, for example) at any one time. But these can be 25 or 50 different students every hour of every day. This enables the educational institution to provide access to large quantities of students for a relatively modest fee.

Access to the courses is provided by generic access codes (such as student14 or student32), so an individual student's progress can't be tracked, but we can provide data on total student usage.

We can also make access IP-specific, which means that only students studying at the client school can use the system. (This prevents students or their friends blocking the system from home.)

Here is a list of some of the education institutions we work with:

    • Syrian Virtual University
    • Hsueh Cheng Education Organisation (Taiwan)
    • University of Lisbon Faculty of Science (Portugal)
    • Fundación Universitaria San Pablo CEU (Spain)
    • City University of Hong Kong
    • Hong Kong Baptist University
    • Hong Kong Institute of Education
    • Hong Kong Polytechnic University
    • Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts
    • Vocational Training Council (Hong Kong)

Here's what one of our educational clients says about us:

"We have successfully introduced Net Languages courses into the majority of higher-education institutions in Hong Kong. What's more, all those colleges that have come to the end of their licence period have readily renewed their subscription. That says a great deal about the quality of the NL product."
